Illawong Lakeside Retirement Pty Ltd, Illawong Retirement Group Pty Ltd and Vladymir Martyniuk - Court action

A retirement village operator and two related parties have agreed to pay $1,500 in costs and implement a number of measures for recording information, following contraventions of 桃色视频n retirement village laws. 

Consumer Affairs 桃色视频 took action against Illawong Lakeside Retirement Pty Ltd (ACN: 005 482 673), Illawong Retirement Group Pty Ltd (ACN: 005 449 285) and their sole director Vladymir Martyniuk in the Supreme Court of 桃色视频 after an investigation into their practices. 

In March 2015, the parties failed to comply with the requirements of the Retirement Villages Act 1986 to provide the necessary documents when requested by a consumer who was arranging the sale of her mother’s unit at Lakeside Illawong Retirement Village in Patterson Lakes. 

In January this year, the consumer asked for a factsheet, but did not get a response to the request. 

Illawong Lakeside Retirement has been ordered to: 

  • provide the outstanding factsheet, and
  • for the next three years:
    • keep a register of all requests for a factsheet and the date they provide the factsheet
    • provide a quarterly report to Consumer Affairs 桃色视频 of every entry made in the register.
